HAPPY FRIDAY!

If you follow me on IG you might have noticed I’ve switched to Maine mode - where I post daily sunrise and ocean videos.

:)

My favorite part of the day is that hour (currently 6-7am) before the sun peeks up over the horizon.

Bright.

But still too dark for my morning pages without help from my little LED lantern.

And if it’s grey and cloudy like today, it’s darker much longer.

The Winter Solstice - the darkest day of the year - is on Sunday.

Today is the New Moon.

When there’s literally no moon to see by.

Darkness on top of the already darkest days of the year.

But after Sunday, a new season starts. Days start get ever so slightly longer, and there’s a ‘Solar Rebirth’ in the works (according to Chani).

Feels like a good time to think about what 2025 has been like.

What 2026 might be.

What needs to happen to support the best possible version of this next season/year?

ALL CHANGE IS HARD AT FIRST, MESSY IN THE MIDDLE AND GORGEOUS AT THE END.

.

I read this yesterday in a book by Robin Sharma, and it’s oooohhh so true.

.

I feel like I’m wading through the MESSY MIDDLE on a bunch of projects.

And I’m in the early HARD phase, on a few others.

.

But the GORGEOUS AT THE END part…

I feel like DIRTY LITTLE FRIDAYS has been my GORGEOUS AT THE END of this last year.

.

Even if I did get kicked off my email platform and have to start over from scratch.

.

.

I’m sooooooo grateful to have this space (and you) to show up for week after week.

To send smutty ‘dead boys’ your way as I work out my creative inspirations and frustrations.

.

To hear from you and feel like I’m not the only one who loves this particular strain of hot sticky homo horror.

.

.

PLUS - I get to meet and photograph all the amazing creative guys I shoot for DIRTY LITTLE FRIDAYS.

My friend Terry Tsiolis shot him last year and said he’d be a great dead boy. He sometimes performs hanging from hooks (Greg, not Terry) so Terry thought… Blood? Hooks? Dead boy!

We played DM tag for a while, and finally ended up shooting earlier this fall.

.

Not only is he a super sexy dancer/actor, but he’s also an aspiring creature performer who likes to be naked. How ALL THE DEAD BOYS is that!

.

I immediately started imagining him as some sort of sexy naked cryptid creature…

.

He also came out to see BUGCRUSH at the Anthology Film Archive screening in October, which makes me like him even more.

.

I have a feeling we haven’t seen the last of him in this ALL THE DEAD BOYS world.

.

.

So thank you for following along.

I’ve got lots planned for ALL THE DEAD BOYS in 2026.

Zines for sure.

The BACKWOODS BOYS zines.

A BENzine.

But also some bigger projects I haven’t mentioned yet for fear of jinxing things.
